Meetings in Exchange Being Automatically Cancelled

Sometimes rooms can be automatically cancelled, which can lead to confusion about what has caused it. 

This may be due to the "Auto cancellation" option set against the room in Space Connect.  This option is designed to release a booking in the event of a no-show.  This would allow spaces to be used more efficiently.  This option requires an attendee to check-in to the meeting (or have this automatically performed via sensors).

Even if a meeting is booked directly in Outlook, and not through Space Connect, and where users do not check in, this will result in Space Connect still applying its rule and thereby removing the booking.

One solution is to uncheck this option so that rooms are never released following no-shows.  This may have the effect of retaining unwanted bookings and therefore not utilising space as effectively as possible.
